Eligibility Criteria & Age Limit

Educational Qualification:

  • For Executive (GS/X, Pilot, ATC, Observer): BE/B.Tech in any discipline with minimum 60% marks. For Pilot/ATC, minimum 60% aggregate in Class 10 & 12 with 60% marks in English is also mandatory.
  • For Technical Branch: BE/B.Tech with at least 60% marks in relevant Engineering streams (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Civil, Computer Science, etc.).
  • For Logistics: BE/B.Tech in any stream with 1st Class, OR MBA with 1st Class, OR B.Sc / B.Com / B.Sc(IT) with 1st Class along with a PG Diploma in Finance/Logistics/Supply Chain.
  • For Education: M.Sc / M.A. in Physics, Math, English, or History with minimum 60% marks, or BE/B.Tech with 60% marks.

Age Limit (Born Between):

  • General Service (GS-X) / Hydro / Technical / Electrical / Logistics: July 2, 2002 to January 1, 2008 (Both dates inclusive).

Physical Standards

1. Height and Weight

Your weight must be proportionate to your height and age (a variation of $+/- 10\%$ from the standard medical tables is generally acceptable).

  • Men (Minimum Height): 157 cm
  • Women (Minimum Height): 152 cm

Regional Relaxations: If you belong to the North-Eastern regions, Garhwal, Kumaon, or are a Gorkha/Lakshadweep candidate, you get a height relaxation of up to 5 cm.

2. Eyesight (Visual Standards)

The vision requirements depend heavily on the branch you choose. If you have undergone laser eye surgery (PRK/LASIK), it is only permissible for certain non-aviation entries, provided you meet specific post-op recovery timelines.

Your body must be well-developed and free from any active physical or mental ailments. The most common grounds for instant medical rejection include:
