Mode of Selection / Exam Stages
- Phase-I Online Written Test — Objective type bilingual test assessing English (CBSE 10+2 syllabus) and Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA).
- Phase-II Physical & Adaptability Tests — Verification of documents followed by a Physical Fitness Test, Adaptability Test-I, and Adaptability Test-II.
- Phase-III Medical Examination — Comprehensive medical assessment conducted by the Air Force Medical Team including baseline biochemical and radiological investigations.

How To Apply For IAF Airmen Group Y Form
Eligible male candidates must complete a two-step online registration process on the central web portal of the testing authority.
- Log on to the official registration portal at https://iafrecruitment.edcil.co.in starting from 06 July 2026.
- Complete Step-I by entering personal and contact details to generate individual login credentials sent via email/SMS.
- Re-login to complete Step-II fields including structural qualification details and service choices.
- Upload a passport-size photo holding a black slate with your name and date written in chalk, along with your signature and left thumb impression.
- Provide a live facial snapshot via your web camera to complete real-time matching with the uploaded profile photograph.
- Pay the online examination fee via credit card, debit card, UPI, or net banking and save the auto-submitted application form as a PDF.

Yes, the objective test carries a negative marking scheme where 0.25 marks are deducted for every wrong answer, while unattempted questions receive zero marks.
