Recruitment Overview
The Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) is running the Combined Civil Services Examination-2025 (Advt. No. 01/2026) to recruit 103 officers across 9 state cadres, including Deputy Collector, Deputy Superintendent of Police, and Assistant Municipal Commissioner. Selection comprises a Preliminary screening test, a Descriptive Main written test, and an Interview phase.
Mode of Selection / Exam Stages
- Preliminary Examination (Objective) — Consists of two compulsory papers (General Studies I & II) worth 200 marks each, acting as a screening process.

How To Apply For JPSC Combined Civil Services Form
Candidates submit their details strictly online via the JPSC One Time Registration (OTR) portal framework.

- Log in using your registered Email ID, Phone number, or Candidate ID coupled with your Password.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Candidates clear a two-stage screening process: the objective Preliminary exam, followed by a descriptive Main examination and an interview. There is no restriction on the number of attempts a candidate can take.
The preliminary examination consists of two compulsory papers (GS-I and GS-II) of 200 marks each. There is no negative marking penalty for selecting incorrect options.
All qualification marks sheets, certificates, and resident/caste documents must be officially issued before the online application closing window deadline to be deemed valid for verification.
The Commission selects candidates for the Main exam equal to approximately 15 times the total advertised vacancies. For the interview pool, the shortlisting cap is roughly 2.5 times the vacancy count.
When aggregate marks match, preference goes to the candidate with higher marks in the Main written test papers. If a tie persists, the candidate who is older in age takes structural priority.
