Candidates must apply entirely online through the UPSSSC Online Application System portal; submissions via any other mode will be rejected.

- Log in using an OTP sent to your registered mobile number/email or by entering personal details.

Only candidates who have successfully appeared in the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET 2025) and possess a valid scorecard issued by the commission can apply for the Main examination.
The written exam is a single-paper objective test comprising 100 questions for 100 marks with a duration of 2 hours. There is a negative marking penalty of 25% (1/4th mark) for every incorrect answer.
The EWS certificate must be issued between April 1, 2026, and the application closing date of June 11, 2026, calculated on the financial year 2025-26 income parameter.
The commission shortlists candidates category-wise up to 15 times the number of advertised vacancies based on their normalized PET scores, including all candidates tying at the exact cut-off score line.
Horizontally reserved candidates (such as women, ex-servicemen, or divyangjan) will be adjusted directly into the respective vertical categories (UR, OBC, SC, ST) to which they belong.
