Here are the simple steps to Fill the Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JHTET) 2026 Online Form:
  • Go to jac.jharkhand.gov.in and access the Exam Form Portal. Click on "New Candidate Registration" and provide your mobile number and active email ID to receive your unique system password.
  • Log into your dashboard using your registration ID. Carefully fill in your personal identifiers, select your targeted level selection (Level 1, Level 2, or both), and enter your matching academic metrics.
  • Upload a recent passport-sized photograph and your signature in the specified file formats. Trainees applying under the appearing quota must attach their official institutional principal-signed certificate in a clear PDF format.
  • Process your category fee balance online using UPI, Debit/Credit Card, or Net Banking options. Fees scale from ₹500 up to ₹1,500 depending on your social category and single/dual paper selections.
  • Click on the application preview page to cross-check all spelling entries. Confirm the declaration check-boxes, execute the Final Submit button, and save a local printout of the generated confirmation receipt.

The exam is divided into two parts: Paper 1 for primary teachers targeting Classes 1 to 5, and Paper 2 for upper primary teachers focusing on Classes 6 to 8.
Candidates must have passed 10+2 Intermediate with at least 50% marks alongside a completed or appearing status in a 2-year D.El.Ed or 4-year B.El.Ed course.
For a single paper, General/EWS/BC candidates pay ₹1,300 (₹1,500 for both), while SC/ST/PwD candidates pay ₹700 for a single paper (₹800 for both papers).
The council will conduct the JTET 2026 exam in a traditional offline mode using OMR sheets with multiple-choice questions and no negative marking.
To pass, General/EWS candidates must score a minimum of 60% marks, BC candidates require 55%, and SC/ST/PVTG/Divyang candidates need 52% marks.
