You must have passed 10th standard PLUS hold an ITI (in approved trades like Fitter, Electrician, Wireman, etc.), a 3-Year Diploma, or a B.E./B.Tech Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Automobile Engineering.
No, you are completely ineligible. The Assistant Loco Pilot post strictly demands the A-1 Medical Category. Your distance vision must be a perfect 6/6 in both eyes without glasses or corrective lenses. Furthermore, candidates who have undergone LASIK or any other corrective eye surgery are legally disqualified. You must also pass stringent tests for color blindness and night vision.
